LABYRINTH INSTRUCTIONS

The very essence of a labyrinth is its complexity. Even though it is unicursal (having a single path with no intersections), its convoluted appearance can be daunting when it comes time to make one.

That's where we come in. Our mission is toget labyrinths into the world. Hence, we rent and sell portable labyrinths (canvas), install permanent labyrinths (on site), design labyrinths (design), and serve as consultants (consult). We are the only labyrinth makers who also offer instructions for you to make your own labyrinth. In the products section you will find detailed manuals which you can purchase (products).

Robert Ferre demonstrating how to make a masking tape Chartres labyrinth.

These instructions are oriented toward making temporary labyrinths out of masking tape, but the principles can be generalized and applied to other media, such as stones or paint on the ground.

Anyone who has crawled around on the floor for hours, making a masking tape labyrinth, will appreciate the fact that there are machines available which allow the person using it to stand up. I found the machines rather expensive, so I invented an inexpensive way to make my own. For plans to make your own machine or to buy a professional one, click here (tape machine).
